Chairman of the Romanian Senate Mircea Abrudean on Thursday said that politicians should identify, together with Romanians everywhere, the best solutions for Romania, so that the national interest is presented and represented correctly.

„We opened today the works of the Summer University of Romanians Abroad, organiaed at the Parliament House. The event is a constant dialogue for solutions and for action, with a clear meaning: state bodies and Romanians from historical communities and from the diaspora stand up and are together. We need the national interest to be presented and represented correctly and we, as politicians, need to start paying more attention to the voices of Romanians everywhere in order to identify together the best solutions for Romania,” Abrudean wrote in a social media post on Thursday.

According to him, by supporting Romanian schools, churches and the Romanian language, the cultural and spiritual identity of Romania will be protected.

„We can start with support for Romanian schools and churches that are the backbone of a people’s national identity. If we protect them and, at the same time, protect the Romanian language, then we will strengthen the bond between the state and the communities, we will protect the cultural and spiritual identity of Romania.
