Senate Chairman Mircea Abrudean says that the participation of Romania’s President Nicusor Dan in a meeting in Washington of the Board of Peace reaffirms Romania’s commitment to peace.

„Diplomacy is proven by action – the participation of President Nicusor Dan in the U.S. Board of Peace representing Romania as an observer, reaffirms Romania’s firm commitment to peace and readiness to contribute to reconstruction and support conflict resolution,” Abrudean said in a social media post on Monday.

Dan on Sunday announced that he will participate this week in the inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace in Washington on an invitation from U.S. President Donald Trump.
