Senior MApN official Bachide addresses Bucharest Leaders Summit

Published on

Senior official for Parliament liaison and personnel welfare with the Romanian Defence Ministry (MApN) Eduard Bachide participated on Tuesday in the official opening of the „Bucharest Leaders Summit: Emerging challenges of the future,” part a project called „Together we protect Romania,” at the Romanian Government House, MApN reports, according to Agerpres.

In a speech to the attendees, Bachide emphasised the importance of achieving enhanced national security, which requires anticipating and analysing emerging challenges.

„When such challenges turn into risks, threats and vulnerabilities for the Romanian state, their integrated management is required, at the national level and, also at the European, Euro-Atlantic and international level, with Romania taking up and consistently fulfilling the responsibilities associated with its dual membership of EU and NATO, its membership in the UN, OSCE and other organisations, and being a party to treaties and international conventions,” said the official.

„Bucharest Leaders Summit: Emerging challenges of the future,” organised by the MediaUno Press Group and the National Institute of Statistics, with support from the Department for Sustainable Development, brings together, November 1-28, officials from Romania and abroad to address major issues of concern to the international world amid an unprovoked armed conflict at the country’s borders, after two years of restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
