Prime minister-designate Siegfried Mureșan will meet PNL’s parliamentary groups on Tuesday to present the priorities of the governing programme he is proposing.
The joint meeting of the groups will take place at Parliament at 16:00.
The prime minister-designate is also due to meet USR and UDMR’s parliamentary groups.
On Monday, Siegfried Mureșan said he would first hold talks with the parties supporting him, and subsequently with MPs from other parliamentary groups.
‘The difference between me and the first two prime ministers-designate is that I am starting out with the explicit and transparent support of three parties, unlike the first candidate, who came from an extra-parliamentary party, and the second, who had been nominated against the will of his own party,’ he said.
Mureșan also said that he would hold talks with the parliamentary group representing national minorities and that, afterwards, ‘the moment of truth for PSD will come’. He said he would not go to AUR’s headquarters or parliamentary group.
PSD’s National Executive Bureau decided on Monday not to support the government due to be formed by Prime Minister-designate Siegfried Mureșan.
PSD President Sorin Grindeanu said that this recommendation, not to support the Mureșan government, would be submitted to the National Political Council, which is the statutory decision-making body in this regard.
