Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Grindeanu urges stronger action on International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women

Published on

Violence must never be tolerated, in any form, and our responsibility, as institutions and as a society, is to do more: to listen, to protect, to act, states the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Sorin Grindeanu.

On Tuesday evening, to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Palace of Parliament and Victoria Palace were illuminated in orange, the colour of hope and solidarity in the fight against violence against women.

„Behind every light there is an untold story, a life marked, a woman who has gone through suffering – or who may still be waiting for help. Today, on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, my thoughts go to all the victims of this scourge and to all those who stand by them,” Sorin Grindeanu wrote on his Facebook page.

He underlined that violence must never be tolerated, in any form. AGERPRES
