The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Monday’s session with gains across most indices, while turnover reached 1.54 billion lei (305.14 million euros) after the first 40 minutes of trading.
The main index BET, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded an increase of 0.11%, while the BET-Plus index, which shows the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks on the BVB, rose 0.09%.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, comprising the top 25 most liquid stocks, gained 0.88%, while the BET-BK index, a benchmark for investment funds, appreciated 0.03%.
The BET-FI index, which tracks the performance of financial investment companies (SIFs), showed an increase of 0.04%, and the BET-NG index, covering 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, advanced 0.40%.
On the other hand, the BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was down 0.62%.
According to BVB data, the biggest share price increases were recorded by Carbochim (7.27%), Altur (+5.96%), and Grupul Industrial Electrocontact (+4.17%).
At the same time, declines were seen in the shares of Prefab (-8.33%), Transilvania Broker de Asigurare (-1.42%), and BRD – Groupe Societe Generale (-0.99%).
