Stock Exchange opens with declines across all indices

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Thursday’s trading session with declines across all indices, with a turnover of 10 million lei (approximately 1.9 million euros) recorded 40 minutes after the session began.

The main index, BET, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, registered a 0.99% decrease, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks on the BVB, was down 0.92%.

The BET-XT extended blue-chip index, covering the 25 most liquid stocks, dropped 0.85%,

The BET-BK, the benchmark index for investment funds, fell 0.67%,

The BET-FI index of financial investment companies (SIFs) slipped 0.14%,

The BET-NG index, which reflects the performance of 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, declined 0.91%,

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, fell 2.09%.

According to BVB data, the biggest stock gains were recorded by IAR Brasov (+5.42%), Farmaceutica Remedia (+3.79%), Romcarbon (+3.09%).

On the other hand, the biggest declines were seen in: Prefab (-10.32%), Turism, Hoteluri, Restaurante Marea Neagra (-6.79%), Sphera Franchise Group (-6.09%).
