The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Wednesday’s trading session on an upward trend, with a turnover of 10.52 million lei (2.06 million euro) after the first hour of trading.
The main BET index, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded a gain of 0.20%, while the BET-Plus index, showing the performance of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, posted an increase of 0.15%.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, was up by 0.23%, while the investment fund benchmark index, BET-BK, rose 0.10%.
The BET-FI index, tracking financial investment companies (SIFs), registered a 0.43% rise, and the BET-NG index, which includes the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, showed a 0.40% increase.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was up 2.45%.
According to BVB data, the largest share price increases were recorded by Prefab (+8.40%), COMCM (+5%), and Bittnet (+4%).
On the other hand, declines were seen in the shares of UAMT (-13.56%), Green Tech International (-6.73%) and Santierul Naval Orsova (-4.76%). AGERPRES
