Structures specialized in crisis management, at STEADFAST JUPITER 23 NATO drill

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) participates with structures specialized in the field of crisis management in the STEADFAST JUPITER 23 NATO exercise, which takes place in 27 locations in Europe and the north of the United States of America, write Agerpres.

According to a press release sent to AGERPRES on Thursday, the MAI is part of an inter-institutional response team and, according to its competence, ensures the national reaction, at different levels of work, within simulated events and incidents.

Also, the MAI personnel participate in the coordination of the support actions carried out by the NATO forces, with the actions of the national authorities.

At the same time, MAI ensures additional detailing of the simulated events, including by emphasizing the effects felt at the level of the civilian population.

The exercise is planned by NATO, and the aim is to strengthen the combat capacity of the NATO Command Center using a complex operational scenario with a high level of difficulty, the quoted statement states.

STEADFAST JUPITER 23 is one of the largest and most complex NATO exercises and an excellent opportunity to test the ability to respond, respectively command and control at the level of the Alliance. Also, the simulated situations emphasize and focus on common defense in the context of simulating the activation of Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty on the strategic, operational and tactical levels, the MAI press release reads.
