British-American influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan left Bucharest for Dubai on Tuesday on a private flight after complying with a judicial control measure requiring them to report to a police station in Romania, where they are being investigated for human trafficking and rape, EFE reports.
The Tate brothers recently returned to Romania from the U.S., where they visited with the approval of the anti-crime case prosecutor. According to the judicial control measure, they must report to the police every two months. The two brothers were also summoned to the Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism headquarters on Tuesday to have their judicial control extended by another two months.
As they took off from Otopeni Airport they shared images of their departure on the social network X. „Tate Force One – taking off,” Andrew Tate wrote to his over 10 million X followers, accompanying his message by a video showing the luxury private plane he was flying in.
Although their lawyers assured that they would return to Romania, the plane’s destination, Dubai, raised suspicions, as the United Arab Emirates does not have an extradition treaty with Romania.
The brothers are under investigation in Romania for forming an organised criminal group, human trafficking, trafficking of minors and money laundering. Andrew Tate also faces allegations of rape and sex with a minor. The two also face separate charges of rape and human trafficking in the UK.
