Ecopolitic Media SRL began implementing the project in July 2026, “Assistance provided by Romania in the Republic of Moldova’s accession process to the European Union (EU)”, funded by the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova (DRRM), within the Government of Romania.
The project “Assistance provided by Romania in the Republic of Moldova’s accession process to the European Union (EU)” aims to produce five journalistic pieces on the subject of Romania’s support for the Republic of Moldova in its accession process to the European Union (EU), by sharing the experience accumulated and providing assistance in various key areas. Ministries and institutions in Romania actively participate in preparing the Republic of Moldova to implement the EU acquis, a component aimed at developing cooperation and sharing best practices between the two states on the left and right banks of the Prut (interviews with five representatives of institutions/ministries from the Republic of Moldova concerning Romania’s contribution to accelerating the European Union (EU) accession process, for example, the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, the Government of the Republic of Moldova, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Justice, etc.), by promoting Romania, Romanian expertise and Romanian human values in the Republic of Moldova, with the aim of preserving and affirming the identity of citizens of the Republic of Moldova, by promoting Romania and Romanian values in the Republic of Moldova. The journalistic products in the form of video interviews will be viewed on ecopolitic.ro’s YouTube platform – youtube.com/@EcopoliticNews.
The project seeks to preserve and affirm the Romanian cultural, social and economic identity of citizens of the Republic of Moldova, through the production and publication on the Ro-Mold News section of the www.ecopolitic.ro portal and on the ecopolitic YouTube channel of five journalistic pieces – interviews in the form of articles and, respectively, videos with representatives of institutions/ministries from the Republic of Moldova; the strengthening of the independent community of Romanian-language journalists from the Republic of Moldova and Romania, through the exchange of information, news and cultural, social and economic events, and the creation of a network for quality independent journalism; as well as increasing the number of consumers of online journalistic information in Romanian in the Republic of Moldova, compared with the current online media consumers of the Ro-Mold NEWS section of the ecopolitic.ro news portal.
The target group consists mainly of people over the age of 18 (young people, adults and the elderly), from all regions of the Republic of Moldova and from Romania. We estimate that, during the project implementation period, we will have a total of approximately 5,000 platform users.
The Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova is a legal entity within the working apparatus of the Government of Romania, with the mission of developing strategies, policies, actions and projects to promote and strengthen the community united by language, culture, religion, spirituality and history, which underpins Romania’s relationship with the Republic of Moldova.
