Three-month ROBOR drops to 6.47pct per year on Tuesday

The three-month ROBOR index, based on which the cost of consumer loans in lei with variable interest is calculated, fell on Wednesday to 6.47% per year, from 6.48% per year in the previous meeting, according to data published by the National Bank of Romania (BNR) on Tuesday.

At the beginning of this year, the index was 5.92% per year.

The six-month index, used in calculating interest on mortgage loans in lei with variable interest, fell to 6.61% per year, from 6.62%, and the 12-month ROBOR fell to 6.81%, from 6.82%.

Regarding the consumer credit reference index (IRCC), regulated by GEO 19/2019, it is 6.06% per year, calculated as the arithmetic average of the daily interest rates of interbank transactions in the second quarter of 2025, the highest level recorded so far by it. AGERPRES
