Timis County Council leader Simonis discusses key infrastructure, healthcare investments with President Dan

Published on

The president of the Timis County Council, Alfred Simonis, held talks on Tuesday with Romanian President Nicusor Dan on key infrastructure and healthcare investments, with particular emphasis on the construction of the Timisoara Regional Institute of Oncology and the Timisoara-Moravita motorway, which will connect Romania to Serbia.

„Our discussions focused on the investments we are currently carrying out, but especially on what we want to develop in the coming years. I presented to the president the importance of the Timisoara Regional Institute of Oncology, the need for a new stadium, investments in infrastructure — particularly the Timisoara-Moravita motorway linking Romania to Serbia — efforts to preserve the county’s cultural heritage, and many other priorities. We also touched on Romania’s pro-European path, the state of EU-funded projects, as well as the outcome of the elections in the Republic of Moldova. Beyond protocol, such meetings are important to inform national decision-makers about the current realities in the field, the needs of local public administrations, and, above all, of the people. We want an open collaboration with the presidential administration, one based on trust and dialogue,” Alfred Simonis stated in a press release. AGERPRES
