Prime Minister-designate Eugen Tomac stated on Tuesday that the government he is forming is not his government, but the government of Romania.

“We must be rational and understand that we need a government vested with full powers to unblock the state’s operations. I have seen the parties’ demands and have tried to work within them to find a reasonable compromise. A government outside these parties cannot be effective unless it has the necessary openness in parliament to carry out the objectives it has undertaken. This government is not Tomac’s government, but Romania’s, and it will act in Romania’s interest,” Tomac said at the UDMR headquarters.
