Touroperator: Early bookings for Romanian summer seaside season up 15%

Published on

Early bookings for this year’s Romanian seaside season have so far increased by 15 percent compared to the same period in 2022, shows data provided by Bibi Touroperator, which specializes exclusively in tourist offers in Romania, according to Agerpres.

„Hotel rates this seaside season will be 5 – 10 percent higher than last year, yet below the 2022 annual inflation rate of 16.45 percent. Thus, the average rate per person for a 6-night stay at the seaside has increased from 1,100 RON in 2022 to 1,163 RON in 2023,” assert Bibi Touroperator representatives.

Tourists who book their stay in this period are offered early registration discounts between 10 and 50 percent. This way, this year’s summer stays can be booked ahead of time for prices similar or even lower than last year’s.

The most requested tourist destinations so far for the 2023 seaside season are Mamaia, Eforie Nord, Jupiter and Neptun. Compared to the same period last year, the most significant increases are recorded by the resorts of Olimp, Saturn and Eforie Nord.

The Romanian Tourist Fair (which takes place at the Romexpo exhibition compound in Bucharest, between February 23 – 25) features discounts of up to 15 percent. Tourists can also opt for payment with holiday vouchers issued over the last 12 months.

Bibi Touroperator, No. 2 in the 2022 national ranking by the National Council of Small and Medium Private Enterprises in Romania, is part of Bibi Group, a Romanian brand created more than 30 years ago that also operates in the tourism and hospitality sector.
