Mihai Tudose accuses Prime Minister Bolojan of making decisions without any knowledge of economics. The PSD leader claims that even at coalition meetings, Bolojan does not provide accurate figures, but simply tells his colleagues that Romania is in a bad way and measures must be taken. Tudose blames Bolojan for making things worse by increasing VAT, when the solution to saving the country was actually to lower taxes, according to realitatea.net.

We have been through times of crisis, we have relaxed taxation, because at that moment you have to give the economy room to move.

At the Ministry of Finance, where I have not seen today, as we speak, an official document: hey, what is the deficit in the end? Apart from what I heard on television from the Prime Minister – and here I personally consider it a huge mistake for you, the Prime Minister, to come and say that we are entering default, that we are unable to pay, you are harming the country, you are influencing the markets. I mean, if the prime minister says, „Hey, it’s bad,” then it’s bad,” said Mihai Tudose.
