The turnover from business services provided mainly to enterprises in Romania increased by 0.7% eight months into 2025, unadjusted, y-o-y, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) reported on Friday.
According to INS, in the first eight months of 2025 there were increases in communications activities (+4.5%) and in other services provided mainly to enterprises (+1.7%). Decreases were recorded in motion picture, video, and television programme production; broadcasting and transmission of programmes (-20.8%), transport services (-0.5%) and computer services and information technology activities (-0.1%).
Adjusted for seasonality, the turnover increased by 0.3% y-o-y overall.
The turnover from business services provided mainly to enterprises, unadjusted, in August 2025, decreased on a monthly basis by 12.9% overall on decreases in turnover from transport services (-15.9%), other services provided mainly to enterprises (-14.0%), information services and information technology services (-9.8%), communications services (-8.8%) and motion picture, video, and television programme production; broadcasting and transmission of programmes (-7.3%)
Adjusted for seasonality, it was down 2.9% overall.
At the same time, the turnover from market services provided mainly to enterprises, unadjusted, in September August 2025 compared with August 2024, decreased 1% on an increase in turnover in information services and information technology services technology activities (+11.8%). Decreases were recorded: motion picture, video, and television programme production; broadcasting and transmission of programmes (-17.2%), communications services (-2.6%), other services provided mainly to enterprises (-1.8%) and transport services (-1.3%).
Seasonally adjusted, it increased by 4.4% in nominal terms overall. AGERPRES AGERPRES
