The government adopted, in Wednesday’s meeting, at the proposal of the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration (MDLPA), two normative acts with a major social impact for the modernization of the sports infrastructure.

The first project refers to the approval of the technical-economic indicators of the investment objective „Construction of Sports Complex – Objective 1, Oradea municipality, str. Fagarasului no. 2, Bihor county”. The complex is made up of five investment objectives, which will be realized in stages. The first objective is the football stadium, which has an area of 13,000 square meters and a capacity of 16,291 seats, informed a press release of the MDLPA.

The duration of the objective is 24 months, and the value of the investment is 472,915,000 RON and will be carried out through the National Program for constructions of public or social interest carried out by Compania Nationala de Investitii S.A.

The second project, „Modernization and expansion of the artificial ice rink George Cosbuc Boulevard, no. 253, Galati, Galati county”, involves the modernization and expansion of the ice rink with an existing capacity of 3,800 seats to 5,100 seats and the related spaces necessary for sports activities. Thus, it is desired to reduce the consumption of conventional fuel for heating, as well as the emission of greenhouse gases. Reducing the costs of space heating during the winter and of air conditioning during the heat wave and solving all the problems related to fire safety according to the legal provisions in force, also represents another priority, the quoted source stated.

The value of the investment is 355,110,000 RON and will be realized through the National Program for constructions of public or social interest carried out by Compania Nationala de Investitii S.A.
