Unaffiliated MEP Luis-Vicențiu Lazarus (NI): We need to think about what WE can do for the ordinary people who are holding the unscrupulous state back! Let’s put an end to boulders and taxes!

Luis-Vicențiu Lazarus (NI), an independent member of the European Parliament and leader of the newly launched Justice and Brotherhood party, says we need to think about what WE can do for ordinary people, who are left to shoulder the burden of an insensitive state! Let’s put an end to the red tape and the taxes once and for all!

The full speech by Luis-Vicențiu Lazarus (NI), an independent member of the European Parliament:

“Are you better off if you pay higher taxes? I can’t hear you! Are you better off if you paid higher taxes? Were you somehow better off? And I don’t know about it? Well then, where’s the money? The country is like a home! You’re families too! If the pater familias, the father, isn’t a good steward, the whole family goes down the drain. You lose your car, you lose your house, and you end up on the streets. Where is Romania supposed to get money? Where? Other than by borrowing.

If it has no productivity, if it has no industry, if it has no strategy, as Nicușor says? It’s crazy what they’re saying, but are we taking money from healthcare and education and throwing it away? Unbelievable! So we are the state, not them! Do they live in a parallel universe? We built the state! We built the state to protect us! We didn’t build the state so it could make a mockery of us! We created the state because otherwise we’d be living in anarchy, living in a no-man’s land, and we designated certain institutions like the police or, in some places, the militia or the gendarmerie or the prosecutors’ offices or the courts, right? Because in the end, they determine the truth. The truth isn’t absolute; it’s just legal. They still determine what happens, right? And so, what do these institutions—led by the secret services—actually do? How did they protect Romania for 36 years without us having a say? There is a referendum law.

This Referendum Law says that the people must be consulted on important matters.

When did you ever consult the people? When do you keep fooling them for four years straight, and then we have no means to remove you? Why?

Because some crooks buy their seats in Parliament. Look, for example, now a motion could be filed and voted on with the broad support of some decent people in the Romanian Parliament. Because there are still decent people!”
