Today, government officials and civil society leaders from Romania and the United States came together for the Annual Dialogue to assess progress and set future priorities for the Framework Program for Child Protection (CPC).

Launched in 2024, this five-year bilateral partnership supports the prevention of child trafficking, the protection of victims and a more efficient administration of justice. The discussions highlighted important steps, including ongoing legislative reforms and the development of a national center dedicated to children’s digital safety and combating online exploitation.

“That is why we stand with Romania, one of our most important allies and partners in combating trafficking networks, protecting survivors and holding perpetrators accountable,” said the US Ambassador to Romania, Darryl Nirenberg.

Through close cooperation between institutions and civil society partners, Romania and the United States reaffirm their shared commitment to combating human trafficking and protecting children, giving them a safer future.
