USR Chairman Dominic Fritz obtains Romanian citizenship

Save Romania Union (USR) Chairman Dominic Fritz, Mayor of Timisoara, announced on Thursday that he has received a positive opinion for obtaining Romanian citizenship.

‘Romania, it’s done, I am one of yours! I have passed the interview and received a positive opinion for obtaining Romanian citizenship. Thank you, Romania, for welcoming me into your home 22 years ago. You made me an adult, a European, more resilient, warmer and more inventive. And now you have made me a Romanian with official documents. Next comes the oath-taking, at the next opportunity. Long live Romania, long live Europe!,’ he wrote on Facebook.
