USR welcomes Bolojan’s appointment as prime minister: It will be difficult, but it is time for reforms

Save Romania Union (USR) welcomes President Nicusor Dan’s decision to appoint Ilie Bolojan as prime minister.

It is a „clear” signal that Romania can move forward „with seriousness and respect for public money,” shows a press release sent by the Save Romania Union.

„We know it’s tough and a period of tough decisions lies ahead. Too many Romanians feel like they’re working hard but don’t have enough money. Too many Romanians have lost faith in politics and change. We know that we have a state that, today, demands more and more but offers too little. But we can begin the changes that have been postponed for too many years. Ilie Bolojan’s proposal for the position of prime minister is a clear signal that Romania can be governed with seriousness and common sense,” the source said.

USR states that it will support the government and „fight for reforms,” reducing unnecessary spending and supporting people who work honestly.

„It will be difficult. But it is time for reforms,” the press release further reads.
