USR’s Lasconi advising PNL and PSD to take last-ditch interest in country’s vital problems

Published on

Save Romania Union (USR) Chair Elena Lasconi said that now, that the ruling Social Democratic Party (PSD) and National Liberal Party (PNL) have agreed on the election dates, they should focus „on what is important for the country.”

„Happy to see that PNL and PSD finally agreed on the election dates. Maybe from now on they will be able to focus on what is important for the country, and maybe, who knows, on the last stretch, they will finally get to look at the state of the economy, of education, of health care,” Lasconi wrote on Facebook.

She also reiterates USR’s message: all parties that declare themselves to be center-right are expected to join USR’s presidential project.

„We are not allowed to let the PSD seize all the power in the Romanian state. A left-wing government with authoritarian accents would be a disaster. The only chance for Romania is for us to install in December a right-wing president and government,” Lasconi added.
