USR’s Lasconi asks PM Ciolacu to urgently dismiss FinMin Bolos

National leader of the Save Romania Union (USR) Elena Lasconi on Monday asked Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu to urgently dismiss Finance Minister Marcel Bolos of the National Liberal Party (PNL) claiming that the dismissal is „for the good of the business environment in Romania and of the Romanians.”

„Mr Prime Minister, send home the minister of finance! Every day there is another fiscal measure through which this government impoverishes Romanians even more, humiliates entrepreneurs even more. They have even restricted the right to property, in their mad rush for the money they spend on privileges,” Lasconi wrote in a social media post.

She added that in addition to the tax increases, „the Ciolacu Government went further”, proposing a personal tax identity number.

„The tax increases of last year and this year were not enough. It was not enough that the excise duties on fuels increased. The Ciolacu Government went further. He proposed a personal tax identity number a system through which the state proposes to barge into your private life. We have the e-Invoice, introduced overnight, which turned the business environment upside down. We also have e-VAT, another aberration that only increases bureaucracy.”

According to Lasconi, „we have gone too far” and Minister Bolos must be dismissed.

„Another idea came from PNL Minister Marcel Bolos: you can’t sell any land if you are just one leu in debt to the state. ANAF decides when you can sell your home. It is another direct attack on the right to property. It has gone too far. For the good of the business environment in Romania and of the Romanians, the solution lies in Marcel Ciolacu’s pen: the urgent dismissal of PNL Minister Marcel Bolos.”
