The Federal Minister was accompanied by Ambassador of Pakistan to Romania Dr. Zafar Iqbal.
After the meeting, Mr. Sajid Hussain Turi gave an exclusive interview for ecopoliticnews.com.
„With Romania, Pakistan has a good and longstanding relationship which is six decades long. With Romania we have strong cooperation in various fields including trade, education etc. In bilateral trade we have seen a significant progress.
Speaking of the visit, I have come to Romania with the purpose to enhance bilateral cooperation in human resources sector. Pakistan has human resource to offer and we want Pakistani human resource to work in different sectors. Pakistan has a huge human resource potential. We have skilled, semiskilled and unskilled labour to offer. By doing this, I think we would be contributing to the development and progress of Romania. Pakistani workforce has contributed to the development and progress of many countries and has played a significant role in the economy of those countries.
I have met the Romanian Minister for Labour and Social Security. And we hope to sign an MoU with Romania very soon. My Ministry will be facilitating as much as possible with regard to recruitment of workers for Romania. We would arrange pre departure trainings for the recruited workers through Pakistan’s Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC) which works under my Ministry. I am hopeful that our collaboration with Romania in this regard will grow stronger with the passage of time”, Mr. Sajid Hussain Turi told Ecopoliticnew.
