MEP Mihai Tudose announced on Friday, after the meeting of the National Political Council, that he has filed his candidacy for the party’s National Council and supports his colleague Victor Negrescu to become European Commissioner.

„Yes, I filed my candidacy for the National Council, we’ll see what the Congress says,” Tudose said.

On the candidate for European Commissioner, he said he has long declared his support for Victor Negrescu.

„I worked with Mr. Negrescu when I was prime minister, he was minister for relations with the European Funds. He is very good at that, very good indeed,” he continued.
