Journalist Charley Ottley, who has promoted Romania’s beauty around the world, obtained Romanian citizenship on Thursday in a ceremony held at the National Citizenship Authority (ANC).

The certificate was presented by ANC Vice President Ciprian Florescu, who said that Charley Ottley had succeeded, through all his work, in promoting Romania’s beauty around the world.

„Through everything he has done, he has managed to promote the beauty of Romania all over the world. He has walked the beautiful lands of Romania with his own feet, and today I found out that he has even been to my home, in Gorj.

But beyond all this, the man I am talking about has become attached to Romania in a way he has not become attached to other countries. He started a family here and told us that he lives as Romanians have always lived and that he loves it very much. It is truly an honor for me, and I ask you to welcome Mr. Otley Charles with applause,” said Florescu at the ANC ceremony.
