We do not have necessary preparation to implement progressive taxation, PNL’s Ciuca says

Published on

The president of the National Liberal Party (PNL), Nicolae Ciuca, considers that Romania is not technically prepared to apply progressive taxation, not having the necessary digitization, but he reminded that the PNL is a supporter of the single tax rate because „it has proven economic efficiency”.

„The National Liberal Party is a supporter of the single tax rate and we will continue to support this measure, because it has proven its economic efficiency and we can talk to those who are directly involved in Romania’s economy, with the business milieu and they to tell us what were the main advantages of the single quota and the space it still has, of validity, so that we can have a business milieu, an economy that truly acquires a consistent capital then, it is difficult to discuss progressive taxation and we also have a technical argument: we do not have the necessary preparation, the necessary digitization to be able to truly apply such a measure”, the PNL leader said in Arad.

He added that it is very difficult to estimate now when the discussions on this subject can resume.
