The Minister of Education and Research, Daniel David, said on Thursday, on the occasion of the International School Day of Non Violence and Peace, that his message is „Zero tolerance” for violence in pre-university and higher education institutions.
His message comes as more than half of the students complain that they are victims of various forms of violence, the most frequent form being verbal violence.
Referring to the baccalaureate competencies assessment exams, David said he had not received any major complaints to the ministry.
„There are no complaints so far that attract the ministry’s attention or intervention,” the minister told a press conference.
He emphasized that the competency assessment exams are very important and are in a way „self-evaluation tests”.
