The Minister of Development, Public Works and Administration, Cseke Attila, signed, on Monday, in the presence of the Prime Minister Nicolae-Ionel Ciuca and the general director of SG RECOVER within the European Commission, Celine Gauer, 12 new contracts financed through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, worth over 1.4 billion lei and aimed at seismic consolidation works and energy efficiency of buildings, according to Agerpres.
The contracts concluded between the local public authorities and the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration aim at the energy renovation and seismic consolidation of some public and residential buildings, and their total value is 1,402,767,238.52 lei, states a press release sent by the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration (MDLPA).
On this occasion, Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca urged the representatives of the local authorities to stay close to the Ministry of Development and collaborate for the implementation of the projects financed by the Renovation Wave, through which Romania has the chance to invest over 5.5 billion euros for renovation, modernization and increasing energy efficiency, in a period where the crisis shows us how important every gesture is to lead to a moderate consumption of energy.
„The projects signed today have a very high value and are extremely important, especially in the context of the earthquake felt in Romania, the past few days. Among the 12 contracts, two funding requests are aimed at the seismic consolidation and moderate energy renovation of some multi-family residential buildings in the counties of Buzau and Caras-Severin, included in the RSI (rock-structure interaction) class of seismic risk, and one has as its objective the integrated renovation of the Bucur Maternity Hospital, an objective of particular importance both for the children who are born here and for their families,” the minister emphasized.
