A total of 151 proposals, including 93 standard projects worth EUR 101 million and 58 small-scale projects worth EUR 24 million, have been submitted under the two calls launched under the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme, the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration announced on Wednesday, write Agerpres.
The two calls – one for standard projects and the other for small-scale projects – were launched on March 30 with a submission deadline on July 4 and were open for all three specific objectives of the programme: developing research and innovation capacities, promoting climate change adaptation and disaster risk prevention, strengthening nature protection and conservation, biodiversity and green infrastructure, an MDLPA press release said.
The amount of Interreg funds allocated to the call for standard projects is EUR 26.6 million and the amount of funds allocated to the call for small-scale projects is EUR 5.9 million.
The administrative and eligibility verification phase will take place from July to September 2023, followed by the qualitative evaluation estimated for September to December 2023. Subsequently, the Programme Monitoring Committee will decide on the projects selected for funding.
