4,391 Ukrainian citizens seeking asylum in Romania, since conflict onset

A number of 4,391 Ukrainian nationals have applied for asylum in Romania since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, benefiting from all the rights provided by the national legislation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) informed, according to Agerpres.

In the last 24 hours, no Ukrainian citizen has applied for asylum in our country, said the cited source.

From March 18 until now, 87,841 residence permits have been issued for beneficiaries of temporary protection, 33 being granted in the last 24 hours.

At the moment, the occupancy rate of the accommodation centres of the General Inspectorate for Immigration is 26.2 cpt.

Regarding traffic through the border crossing points, in the last 24 hours, 23,125 means of transport and 82,517 people entered our country, including 8,703 Ukrainian citizens.
