Romanian PM holds consultations with hauliers and farmers, with talks continuing next week in work groups

Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu held consultations with representatives of hauliers and farmers at the Victoria Governmental Palace on Friday, during which the problems raised by the representatives of the two sectors of activity, the legal solutions in line with European rules, and the way to approve them were analysed.

According to a Government press release, a tight schedule of specific meetings with ministries and institutions in charge for resolving some of the issues discussed at the meeting was established.

„I invited you to the discussions because only through dialogue and sitting together at the same table will we find solutions to the problems you have raised. We in the Government, and you, want things to work as efficiently as possible. On the part of the Government, we are open to finding the right, fair and applicable solutions. For this, after we have centralised the grievances, we must find solutions in working groups that include all those who know in detail each grievance reported,” said Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, quoted in the release.

Thus, on Monday, January 15, the first working group on agriculture will meet, with the participation of representatives of the ministries in charge in the area of agriculture, on Tuesday, January 16, there will be a meeting on transport, also with the participation of representatives of the ministries in charge in the area, and on Wednesday, January 17, there will be a working group meeting on motor liability insurance policies.
