Romanian ForMin Odobescu attending Antalya Diplomatic Forum

Romania’s Foreign Minister Luminita Odobescu is attending today the Antalya Diplomatic Forum – ADF 2024, where she will discuss the importance of strengthening the Black Sea profile on NATO and EU agendas.

The central theme of this year’s edition is „Advancing diplomacy in times of turmoil,” according to the Romanian Foreign Ministry (MAE).

Odobescu will be the keynote speaker of the panel „Black Sea: a regional ownership version 2.0?”, along with Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Mehmet Kemal Bozay, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mykola Tochytskyi, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Lasha Darsalia, and Secretary General of the Black Sea Economic Co- Organisation Lazar Comanescu.

During the debates, Odobescu will highlight the importance of enhancing regional co-operation among the Black Sea riparian states that share common values and objectives in order to strengthen security and stability, as well as economic development and connectivity in the region.

Part of her participation in the event, Odobescu will have bilateral meetings with counterparts and representatives of international organisations to exchange views on regional and international security and review opportunities for strengthening bilateral and regional co-operation.

The Antalya Diplomatic Forum will also bring together heads of state or government, ministers, diplomats, businesspeople, academics, representatives of analysis centres and think-tanks. Topics of discussion include current conflicts, regional and global security, geopolitical changes, disruptive technologies and climate change.
