Nearly 41% of employees are dissatisfied and very dissatisfied with their current job, the salary, the relationship with the manager and the lack of professional recognition being the main reasons for frustration, according to the latest survey conducted by eJobs.ro and Up Romania.

Thus, according to the cited source, 34% of employees express dissatisfaction with their current job, while 7% say they are very dissatisfied. Conversely, 54% of respondents say they are satisfied, and 6% are very satisfied with the work environment and the stage of their career.

The survey also points out that 26.4% are already looking and applying for other jobs and will not stay long in their current job, and 5.9% have already resigned and are leaving. 7.6% have decided to wait as they think it is not the right time to make a career change, 5.7% are in a comfort zone and find it difficult to make a change, 4.6% hope that the current situation will improve and 3.4% are used to the people they work with.

Besides salary, other reasons mentioned in the survey were the work environment, the projects they are involved in, job instability or lack of feedback.

Although almost half of the respondents admit that they are dissatisfied or very dissatisfied with their current job, 31% believe that their interest and involvement in the activities they carry out in the company are much higher compared to previous years.

As for employers, the survey also shows that 38% consider that 60% to 80% of team members are high performers; 27% see this performance in more than 80% of their colleagues; just as many say that only 40%-60% of team members are high performers, and 8% notice an increased level of performance in less than 40% of team members.

The survey was conducted between March and April 2024, on a sample of 4,086 employees and 380 companies.
