Turnover in market services provided to population up by 1.5 pct in first two months

Turnover in market services provided to the population increased in the first two months of this year, compared to the corresponding period in 2023, both as unadjusted series by 1.5% and by 1% as series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, shows data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

The activity of market services supplied to the population, unadjusted series, in the mentioned period was influenced by the increase in turnover in: washing and (dry) cleaning of textile and fur products (+6.0%), gambling and other recreational activities (+4.6%) and hotels and restaurants (+0.9%). Decreases were recorded in hairdressing and other beauty activities (-19.2%) and in the services of tourist agencies and tour operators (-0.5%).
