National leader of the National Liberal Party (PNL) Nicolae Ciuca said on Tuesday that Sebastian Burduja, the PNL candidate for the Bucharest City Hall, is the option that gives hope to those who have not decided yet.

„In the meantime, Mr Sebastian Burduja was elected leader of the Bucharest chapter; it is normal that, based on the decision of the National Political Bureau, chapter leaders enter the political competition. Mr Sebastian Burduja is entering the political competition for the Bucharest City Hall,” Ciuca said about Burduja’s nomination to run on behalf of PNL for the Bucharest City Hall.

About PNL’s chances to win the Bucharest City Hall, Ciuca said that they are given by the candidate’s profile.

„He comes from the position of minister. It is the option that gives hope to those who have not made up their minds yet. There is an undecided segment of the electorate and can unveil his manifesto for the City Hall as a new entrant in this competition (…) He is one of the young politicians, with a good training and education, he performed at the level of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, he is now in office at the Ministry of Energy, he is very well trained professionally, he has a vision, he is motivated, he has a team and an organisation that supports him, so the party grassroots will move differently.”
