Senate chair Ciuca thanks Romanian land forces on their national day

At a Romanian Land Forces Day celebration on Tuesday, Senate Chairman and national leader of the National Liberal Party (PNL) Nicolae Ciuca expressed his gratitude to those who sacrificed their lives for the country and thanked the soldiers who successfully accomplish their missions and are always on duty.

„I am very glad to come home to my native county and to have the opportunity to be with you on a festive day, a celebration of growth, a celebration of the Romanian Land Forces and I want to use this opportunity to join those who served the country years ago in voicing our gratitude to those who sacrificed for the homeland and to thank those who, today, are wearing the military uniform, bearing the badge of the Land Forces and successfully accomplishing their missions and giving confidence, assuring us all that they are on duty anytime,” said Ciuca.

He also sent a message to people who celebrate their name day on Tuesday and to the poeple of Bailesti, a municipality whose patron saint is Saint George.

„I also want to use this opportunity to be with the citizens of Bailesti today, on the day of the Christian feast, the day of Saint George, the patron saint of the city of Bailesti and to wish all the people of Dolj County, Oltenia, and Romanians ‘Happy St George Day!”

Ciuca on Tuesday attended a Land Forces Day event occasioned in Bailesti, Dolj County, that included a military-religious ceremony and technical presentation of the military equipment of the Multinational Brigade South-East.
