Meeting of the Turkmen-Romanian working group on cooperation in the field of transport

On April 22, 2024, the Third meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Romanian Commission on Road Transport and the Fourth meeting of the Turkmen-Romanian working group on cooperation in the field of transport took place in the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Romania. The Turkmen delegation was headed by G.Akmamedov, head of the «Turkmenawtoulaglary» of the transport and communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.

In accordance with the agenda, the parties considered the implementation of previously reached agreements and the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in the transit and transport sector. Noting the high level of partnership, the parties exchanged views on the possibility of expanding mutually acceptable cooperation in the field of transport.

Issues related to international freight transport between the two countries, the state of international road transport and the possibilities for its further development were discussed.

At the end of the meeting of the Turkmen-Romanian working group on cooperation in the field of transport, the parties signed the Protocol of the fourth meeting, as well as the Protocol of the third meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Romanian Commission on Road Transport.
