The minister of Justice, Alina Gorghiu, announced on Thursday, following a meeting with her counterpart from the Republic of Moldova, Veronica Mihailov-Moraru, that the Romanian side will provide the neighboring country with experts for the accession to the European Union.

„We want the Republic of Moldova to have ‘speed dial’ contact with the best Romanian experts,” Gorghiu wrote on her Facebook page.

Also, she says that there is mobilization to organize this year the third Justice Forum Romania – Republic of Moldova, where a new Action Plan in the field of justice is to be concluded.

The minister specifies that the opportunity of establishing a post of liaison magistrate of Romania in the Republic of Moldova will be analyzed.

„We have a large volume of requests for legal assistance. Almost 250 files in 2023 alone, without taking into account the intermediate correspondence. If we add those, we are approaching 1,000 files,” said Alina Gorghiu.
