Mihai Enache submitted his candidacy to the Bucharest City Hall from the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) on Monday, on which occasion he stated that Bucharest needs „administration and competence” and must become a „beautiful, safe capital city, a capital city of the family”.
„Bucharest needs administration and competence. (…) Bucharest must become our capital city, a predictable, beautiful and safe capital city. This is what I point out in my program, which I have presented as of seven months ago and this is what I will do after the elections of June 9. A Bucharest in which the Radio House or the Dunarea Hotel or the Assan Mill will no longer be eternal ruins of the city,” Enache said.
He promised „a city where the traffic is smooth, a city where the children of Bucharest have hospitals with sufficient places and conditions for the century in which we live, a Bucharest where our children have access to safe parks and a city from which the drugs that surround the young generation everywhere – at school, near school, on the street, in parks, and in clubs – disappear”.
„It’s time to put specialists in administrative positions, not political people who are walked around by this and that kind of institutions, regardless of their training, regardless of what results they have achieved so far in their public careers. It’s time to look to the CVs and portfolios of the candidates proposed by the Bucharest City Hall, and I hope that the people of Bucharest will seriously analyze what these candidates have done so far, and they will find that the only choice that can ensure the development of the city is the election of AUR to the General City Hall, and to the General Council, and to the sector mayors and to the local councils of the Bucharest sectors,” Mihai Enache said.
