Earthquake measuring 4.1 occurs on Tuesday afternoon in Buzau County

A moderate earthquake measuring 4.1 occurred on Tuesday afternoon, at 18:32, in eastern Buzau County, according to information made public by the National Research and Development Institute for Earth Physics (INCDFP).

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 140 kilometers near the following cities: 44 km west of Focsani, 51 km north of Buzau, 72 km southeast of Sfantu-Gheorghe, 80 km east of Brasov and 86 km northeast of Ploiesti.

Since the beginning of May, eight earthquakes with magnitudes between 2.1 and 4.1 have occurred in Romania.
