Defence Ministry runs new volunteer reservists recruitment campaign

Published on

The National Defence Ministry announced on Monday that it is organizing between May 20 and June 27 a new recruitment and selection campaign to fill 4,936 volunteer reservist positions – officers, military foremen, non-commissioned officers, privates and higher-ranked servicemen – in military units throughout the country.

„Potential applicants can inquire about the stages of the recruitment and selection process, the structures designated to conduct the selection, the military health unit where they will take the medical examination, and the military unit or the training center where they will undergo the initial training program – should they be subject to such training, according to the law, as well as about the advantages of performing military service as a voluntary reservist,” the Ministry said.

Candidates without military training will be advised regarding the expression of their options, and will be directed towards the positions for which they fulfill the specific criteria related to their education level and the correspondence of their civilian specialization with the respective weapons/services and military specialties, the cited source mentions.
