Digi Romania acquires Telekom Romania Mobile from Greeks

Digi Romania concluded on Monday an agreement in principle for the acquisition, through the West Network Invest vehicle, of a holding of over 99.99% of the share capital of Telekom Romania Mobile Communications, from the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization, according to a report submitted to the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB).

„The company informs the market that, on May 27, 2024, Digi Romania SA (Digi) concluded an agreement in principle regarding the main terms and conditions for the acquisition by West Network Invest SRL, an investment vehicle majority owned by Digi and minority by to the Clever Media group, of a holding of 99.9999994% of the share capital of Telekom Romania Mobile Communications SA (Telekom Romania Mobile) from the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization SA,” the document says.

The conclusion of the transaction is conditioned by several aspects, including completion of the due diligence analysis, obtaining necessary approvals from the competent authorities and completion and signing of related documentation.

According to the agreement between the shareholders of West Network Invest SRL, if the transaction is completed, Telekom Romania Mobile will remain on the market as an independent telecommunications operator.
