PM Ciolacu: We have enough European money at this point for investments in Romania

Published on

Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, leader of the PSD (Social Democratic Party), says that at this point there is enough European money coming into Romania and he will have discussions with the ministers on each individual PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) project and on each milestone.

„We have enough money coming into Romania right now. The important thing is to manage the investments. After the Government meeting on Thursday, I will again have a meeting with each minister on each individual project from the PNRR and on each individual milestone,” said the PM, on Monday, at the PSD headquarters.

He added that the Minister of European Funds already had these individual meetings with all the relevant technical staff.

„Everything is dynamic. We can change certain projects depending on priorities, but you cannot go to the Commission if you do not have very clear arguments related to where the money can be spent faster. Like, for instance, the M4 and M6 subway lines. M4 it’s much more advanced, while in the case of M6 is very unlikely that we’ll spend the money on the subway line from Cluj until then,” stated Marcel Ciolacu.
