Diana Șoșoaca and Luis Lazarus entered the European Parliament with the help of diaspora votes, according to G4Media.ro sources.

On the votes cast in the country, Diana Șoșoaca’s SOS party was at 3%, below the 5% threshold to enter the European Parliament. Votes in the diaspora, where SOS got more than 13%, boosted the score of Șoșoacă’s party, which will have two MEP seats, just like UDMR, according to the same sources.

Diana Șoșoaca and Luis Lazarus are the top two SOS candidates for the European Parliament.

Therefore, according to the parallel party count, Romania’s mandates in the European Parliament will be divided as follows:

PSD-PNL Alliance – 20 seats
AUR – 6 seats
ADU – 3 seats
UDMR – 2 seats
SOS Romania – 2 seats
