PNL First Vice-President Dan Motreanu says that the citizens of Giurgiu county have chosen PNL projects, they have chosen development, they have chosen prosperity. The PNL won the presidency of Giurgiu County Council, the mayoralty of Giurgiu municipality and the mayoralties of 43 other municipalities in the county, he says.
„The result honours us, makes us responsible, obliges us. We thank them and we continue our projects. As in the last four years, we will fight to implement the projects announced during the campaign.
We will continue to attract EU and national funds for projects, we will speed up the steps to attract investors to the county. We said that Giurgiu county will exceed the national average in the next six years and that was not a campaign statement, it is our vision for the county.
It was more than a fight between political parties. It was a vote that showed that the people of Giurgiu categorically reject a return to a past model of governance that meant underdevelopment, indifference and poverty.
This victory must be translated into serious and honest projects that will lead to a better life for every citizen of Giurgiu.
I have made it very clear that the county’s development must be integrated. We presented ourselves with a team of mayoral candidates made up of dedicated people, people who can be integrated into the county-wide effort.
Toma Petcu has the experience to perform at the helm of the County Council and he also has the majority to vote for his projects. The citizens validated the huge efforts of Adrian Anghelescu and the PNL team to avoid the bankruptcy of Giurgiu City Hall due to the debts left by the PSD. Four years are coming in which he will implement projects for the municipality.
Our vision of integrated development has been accepted by the citizens of the county, the best example being the victory of the young Adrian Gâjâilă in the fight for Mihăilești Town Hall.
