State aid for companies in manufacturing industry, in amount of 450 million euros

In Thursday’s meeting, the government will approve a state aid scheme, with a total budget of almost 450 million euros, for companies in the manufacturing industry, prime minister Marcel Ciolacu announced.

„We are adopting a new major investment project, the target now being the development of the processing industry in Romania. It is a state aid scheme, with a total budget of almost 450 million euros, over three years, from European funds and from budget. Companies can access grants for investments from scratch or for the creation of a new economic activity,” stated Ciolacu, at the beginning of the government meeting.

The prime minister also informed that, in order to support projects with European funds, the budget of the Ministry of Investments and European Projects will be increased by 500 million lei, in order to make payments within the Regional Operational Program and the Large Infrastructure Operational Program targeting works carried out in projects for transport, environment and energy.
