Published on

Custodian of the Romanian Crown Margareta and Prince Radu on Sunday started a visit to Finland that ends on June 21.

Margareta and Radu on Sunday afternoon were welcomed at Helsinki Airport by Romania’s ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Finland Maria Ligor and director with the Romania’s Foreign Ministry Adrian Ligor, together with other diplomats of the embassy, according to a social media post of the Royal Family.

This is the seventh foreign trip of the Royal Family in 2024, after Princess Sofia’s visit to Poland (February), Prince Radu’s trade mission to Moldova (February), Princess Maria’s visit to England (March), Margareta’s visit to Belgium (March), Radu’s visit to France (April) and Margareta’s visit to Luxembourg (May).

It is also the third official visit of the Romanian Royal Family to Finland in the last twenty years, after the visit in September 2003 and the one in December 2006.
