The National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA) on Monday informs that ten reports have been submitted so far to its ethics committee regarding Professor Alfred Bulai, accused of alleged sexual harassment, alongside two letters from other professors of the same university requesting the committee to take note about the accusations that appeared in the public space about Professor Marius Pieleanu too.

„Considering the accusations made against Professor Alfred Bulai, from the Faculty of Political Science, the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA) makes the following statements: ten reports have been submitted to the ethics committee of the SNSPA, which were formulated by the rector of the SNSPA and by nine former students. Apart from those mentioned above, there are two letters addressed by the professors from the Faculty of Political Science, respectively members of the Student Council of the SNSPA, to the management of the SNSPA, asking for the ethics committee to also take into account the accusations made against Professor Marius Pieleanu, based on the information that appeared in the public space,” the higher education institution says in a press release sent to AGERPRES.

According to the same source, the ethics committee of the SNSPA received the reports and is going through all the legal steps until they are resolved.

The SNSPA also conveyed that it will not make a public statement until the end of the investigation by the ethics committee.

After analyzing the files and deliberating, the ethics committee will adopt a decision that will be sent to the SNSPA management and the parties involved. The decision of the ethics committee will be published on the official website of the university – snspa.ro.

The Bucharest Police has also opened a criminal investigation into the allegations of abuse of office for sexual purposes in the case of Professor Alfred Bulai. According to a journalistic investigation carried out by the Snoop website, Bulai allegedly sexually harassed several female students.

The press reported that former students would have also accused Professor Marius Pieleanu of sexual harassment.
